The Forest

I go to Yarrahapini to watch trees, breathe in nature and just to be.

I called this photo "Candles in the Sun" and it is at the front of the green cathedral. I think regular folks will call the green cathedral the picnic area :-)

Anyway, it is these trees that are inspiration for the 'Forest' series.

MountainGirl is a self-taught artist who has been painting for a number of years. Whilst painting started as a hobby, it soon became obvious that others wanted to share the joy. By word of mouth, a number of people became excited about the emerging works, resulting in both appreciative comments and sales.

MountainGirl has been a wandering spirit living throughout Western Australia drawing motivation from areas as diverse as Albany on the Southern Coast, through to the dramatic landscapes of the family farm in the Wheatbelt, and to the greens of the South West and the ocean of the Mid-West but has now moved to the source of much of her current inspiration, the mountains and seascapes of New South Wale’s Mid North Coast.

MountainGirl's art is very vibrant and dramatic. Much inspiration comes from the ‘spirit’ of the subject. Whilst all works are generally created under the overriding theme of “Expressions of Colour”, there have been a number of smaller collections.
